A teenagers’ biggest enemy is acne. At puberty it shakes their confidence by appearing as black, red and white bumps on their faces shattering their self confidence. Though facial acne normally manifests itself in the age group of 12-20, adults too are not spared from this scourge.

Acne is normally known to have four different forms. Black heads are black marks on your face where as you have white heads looking like small bubbles in the face. They also appear as raised bumps, red in color, but the most obstinate of them are cysts whose roots invade the depths of the skin and are difficult to cure.

Acne is mostly formed out of the hormone imbalance and this is why teenagers have a lot of trouble with it at their puberty. The oil producing glands are often blocked due to dead skin or dust particles and they inflame to form acne. There fore the first tip to cure is to keep your skin clean and also use face wash to reduce the oil in your face.

The first acne cure can be found at home with an altered lifestyle. Foremost among them is to remove stress. Even if this cannot be achieved in your busy schedule, try to take an hour off at least thrice a week and de stress yourself by trying to relax.

In today’s busy world order, when time seems to be driving you to madness, take an hour off at least three times a week to try and relax through meditation or yoga to de stress your self. Adults, who are on birth control pills, which cause hormone imbalance, would do well to approach their doctor and discuss suitable alternatives. A reduction or change of cosmetics would do well in reducing the pore blockages.

There are several natural ingredients that should be part of your diet for acne prevention and cure. The requirement of zinc which is credited with skin rejuvenation properties can be found in lentils and beans. Vitamin H can be found in spinach and mushrooms and the requirements of vitamin C can be sourced from citrus fruits like lemon and orange. Folic acid is available from tomatoes, iron from radish and poultry and carrots which are rich in beta carotene contribute greatly to the repair of damaged tissues.

Several other home care solutions like application of honey face mask, using of sulfur soap for gentle face washing, preventing your hair with its oils from falling on your face, reducing intake of coffee and alcohol, drinking plenty of water and swallowing of Neem leaves are credited with helping with acne cure. Squeezing of pimples should be avoided as it only aggravates the problem. The next best acne cure can be found in naturopathy, sans any side effects. The medical solution should be your last resort.
